The Kid

The water dances, soft and bright,
A playful stream beneath the light.
It whispers secrets, cool and clear,
To the little one who’s drawing near.

With tiny feet and eyes aglow,
The child steps softly, slow, and low,
The water splashes, laughing loud,
As ripples form a silver shroud.

A splash, a giggle, a joyful sound,
The child’s feet leave the muddy ground.
In the water, dreams take flight,
As day turns soft into the night.

Together, they are wild and free,
The water and the child in harmony.
Each wave a story, each splash a song,
As the bond between them grows so strong.
