Sunbath, fur belly
claws out…
dream birds
☯️
A rag,
old shirtsleeve; wind
whips it north
☯️
Spring won’t turn…
a man, and his hat
made of butterflies
☯️
Spring won’t turn…
camel lies down
in snow powder
☯️
Spring won’t turn…
conductor alone
on the trolley
☯️
Sun in spring,
that peace…
boot neatly laced
☯️
Cold April…
brush dead roaches
to the dustpan
☯️
Lake five inches wide…
Ziploc bag
sails with the wind
☯️
April warm…
hoping that’s trash, the mailman
throws out
☯️
Chinese girl,
two red balls…
pink cowboy boots
☯️
The heat
sits on me…
with my teacup
☯️
May morning…
fan freeze
on bare feet
☯️
Storm watch…
Chet Baker
and birdsong
☯️
Windstorm!
Dismiss the hand
on the tiller
☯️
From the cafe…
from the truck…
two Latin tunes
☯️
As you zag
through clouds with your love…
do you look down?
☯️
Coffee spills,
round table…
stain continents
☯️
Fall dew…
the condemned’s last dream
forgotten at dawn
☯️
tanka:
Face
velvet
church
red…
daisies
☯️
In summer corn
he itches;
sweaty scratch
☯️
“Please Do Not Use
This Door This Door Is Broken”
(thank you)
☯️
Summer sun gives life…
but…the dark…
…soothing…
☯️
Wolf,
lost downtown…
seeks the moon
☯️
Butterfly on twig…
next bus,
six hours
☯️
