With the announcement of Blender Studio‘s next open source movie, Sprite Fright, we thought it would be a good time to catch you up on their completed projects.
Their most recent, from 2020, is the manic yet touching animation Coffee Run. Directed by Hjalti Hjalmarsson, whose animation we’ve featured before in Spring, and produced by the team at Blender Animation Studio, this three-minute animation deals with a woman running backwards through her memories to the cup of coffee that changed her life. Its mastery of tone is delicate and truly lovely; its animation is positively gorgeous.
