It’s always a good day when a new work by Tacoma’s finest Nick Stokes drops. After his wild anti-Choose-Your-Own-Adventure novel You Choose, and Artifact Collective, his literate study of how to create a modern stream of consciousness, all of us at The Star were excited to see his next invention.
So we were tickled when it turned out to be a novel about zombies.
The End is, like most of Mr. Stokes’ work, almost impossible to describe except glibly, so we’ll just say that it’s a Choose Your Own Zombie adventure where the reader may actually be the zombie. It fits neatly along our collection of Kelly Link’s smash-up slipstream fiction.
And if that doesn’t sell it to you, what will?
