During the first police attack last week SPD blamed the protesters, claiming there was a “riot”, despite video footage showing the police instigating matters. Both the community and the city council responded fiercely, demanding accountability.
Seattle Chief of Police Carmen Best then announced she had placed a ban on use of tear gas. But some kind of chemical agents were used again last night on the crowd (June 6) near the east precinct, resulting in panic. Notice how SPD gives the prescribed “dispersal order” after they have already attacked people with flash bang/concussion grenades, gas and pepper spray.
