For this week’s Free Thing we get self-reflexive.
Some of you know that we hosted a half-dozen Creative Commons events in 2018. As we gear up for another round of events in 2019, we look back to the very first Seattle Star Creative Commons Celebration event, at the gorgeous Chapel Performance Space. Music that night came from Triggerwords, Appalachian Yard Art, and Marwood Williams, with the music and lyrics of all three bands converted into extemporaneous poetry between sets by The Star‘s own Omar Willey.
If you missed it, shame and disgrace unto you. But you can redeem yourself a little by watching one of the songs performed there, Marwood Williams’ marvelous and witty “I Will Disappoint You.”
