Evan Dahm’s short story, The Tusks of Wusterim, is an exploration of the history of the Old Empire of Wusterim. If you have ever read Mr. Dahm’s renowned comic Rice-Boy, its setting will be familiar to you. If not, it will probably seem as though you have entered a world slightly strage, weird in the original sense of the word. And so it is.
The world of Overside, as it’s called, is rich with stories quite unlike your clichéd fantasy. This particular story is set in Wusterim’s early history and is a good introduction to Mr. Dahm’s style.
